Why We Started

The earliest wave of AI products proved that machines could generate impressive outputs, but they rarely inspired confidence. We believed the next generation of software would not be defined by raw capability alone, but by reliability, transparency, and thoughtful product design. Acme was created to explore that idea from first principles.

Building the Company

From the beginning, our goal was never to compete on the number of models or features we shipped. Instead, we focused on creating products that integrated naturally into the way people already worked. Every technical decision was measured against a single question: does this increase trust?

Building Acme required balancing ambitious research with practical execution. We assembled a small multidisciplinary team, worked closely with early design partners, and iterated continuously based on real-world feedback rather than assumptions. Many of our best product decisions emerged from conversations with customers rather than internal planning.
